A new novel in the #1 New York Times bestselling series: Lt. Eve Dallas must separate rumors from reality when a woman who traffics in other people’s secrets is silenced.

The chic Manhattan nightspot Du Vin is not the kind of place Eve Dallas would usually patronize, and it’s not the kind of bar where a lot of blood gets spilled. But that’s exactly what happens one cold February evening.

The mortally wounded woman is Larinda Mars, a self-described “social information reporter,” or as most people would call it, a professional gossip. As it turns out, she was keeping the most shocking stories quiet, for profitable use in her side business as a blackmailer. Setting her sights on rich, prominent marks, she’d find out what they most wanted to keep hidden and then bleed them dry. Now someone’s done the same to her, literally―with a knife to the brachial artery.

Eve didn’t like Larinda Mars. But she likes murder even less. To find justice for this victim, she’ll have to plunge into the dirty little secrets of all the people Larinda Mars victimized herself. But along the way, she may be exposed to some information she really didn’t want to know…

Secrets in Death: An Eve Dallas Novel (In Death, Book 45) The case: Mars Murder. A murder in one of Roarke’s restaurants. Eve was having drinks with DeWinter when a woman fall in Eve’s arms. The is Larind Mars, and she is a gossip reported at channel 75. While investigating the case she find that Mars is a blackmailer and is not who she say she is. Can Eve and Roarke solve the case. Great love scenes and you wont guess who did it.

Another Winner in the Series. This was an enjoyable read – creepy at times as well as thought-provoking. Man (or woman’s) inhumanity to man never gets old. Set it in the future with all pluses J.D. Robb populates her books with, and you have a winner. Although I must say that after finishing each book, I wonder how she can come up with a villain that is worse than the last one, but she always does.

Another big hit. You can never go wrong with anything by J.D. Robb (or Nora Roberts). I am proud to have read every one of the Eve Dallas stories, from the beginning. She never disappoints and my family knows once I start one of the books,I will be completely oblivious to the rest of the world until I am done.Another episode in my library so I can refer back if needed.
