Anna Jennings is no superhero. In fact, had you asked her about superheroes a week ago, she would have called you crazy. She believes in routine, working hard and playing harder. But that all changed one night when she and her wayward sidekick Carl discovered several of her co-workers engaged in some decidedly non-run-of-the-mill human activities. Now her life is in a whirlwind as she finds herself caught up in the superhero world of her super-sexy boss and her long time crush as they battle the evil Captain Zinger (yes, really). Will Anna find a way to save her superheroes (even with the disastrous help of the spandex-loving Carl), her sanity, her new found love, and – oh yeah – the world? Find out in Power Surge – Book 1 in the Anna Jennings Super Novel Series!

Hilarious, quirky FUN!! This book has so much going for it, you can’t help but enjoy yourself as you plunge into the fun world of Anna Jennings. It’s told from her POV which is fantastic, because her inner dialogue is hilarious! You find yourself rooting for her and others as they travel the world of superheroes. Not being one herself, she still manages to save the superheroes. WHAT?! You say. Oh yeah… who wouldn’t love to be the normal geeky girl who saves the supers? So much fun and lots of great laughs. Can’t…

Fun Read for Comedy Romance Lovers Quirky, upbeat comedy with super heroes, awesome side kicks, a terrible villian, and a few steamy love interests are all sure to entertain in this first installment of the Anna Jennings series! Funny puns and the crazy predicaments Anna gets herself into kept me laughing! Wish more scenes had included Carl, I rather liked his positive attitude and inability to see self failures. Chapters and pace of the story line move along quickly for a nice, easy weekend read. Great start for this emerging…

Decent first, hope next is better More of a 3.4 than a 3, but the stars aren’t that graded.Entertaining characters, well presented, interesting dynamics, and some good laughs. The story was flat, the reveals were very slow, and it needed another couple rounds of proofreading. As a fan of characters, I was able to stay engaged and finish this. But the story was secondary to the weird romance arcs, and it made the book weaker.Recommended for romance fans that enjoy humor.
